HOW TO SAVE THINGS INTO THE K:DRIVE (ON CAMPUS)
- Open "My Computer" on your desktop
- Select the "Fall2007" or K:drive
- Click on "To Faculty" to upload documents
- Click on the folder with your name on it
- drag the corner of the window so that it only takes up half of your screen
- Now return to "My Computer" and this time select the place where you have saved the paper you want to upload (F:drive, "My Documents," or a flash drive perhaps?) until you see the document you want to upload (DON'T OPEN THE DOCUMENT)
- drag the corner of that window so that it takes up the other half of your screen
- Right click on the document you want to upload, and HOLD DOWN the Right click key as you DRAG the document into the other window and your open folder in the k:drive "To Faculty" folder (this is the slip it under the door moment)
- Let go and in the box that will open, select "copy here"
That's it.
HOW TO SAVE THINGS INTO THE K:DRIVE (OFF CAMPUS)
- Open your internet browser and go to the Drew links and resources page (http://www.drew.edu/home/)
- Select "Netstorage"
- Select K:drive and the folder for the class you want to hand things in to
- Select "To Faculty"
- Select the folder with your name on it
- Above the folder icons you'll see a menu bar. Select "File"
- In the drop down box that will open, select UPLOAD
- You'll get a browse window, browse to the document and click select
- Unclick the "overwrite existing files" option and click Upload
If this seems easier (it is) you can do this on campus as well following exactly the same directions
Use the "download" option under file to download any document from the k:drive to your computer
